A recent traffic jam in China has halted commuters along the Beijing-Tibet highway for over nine days. This 62-mile (100km) stretch is currently gridlocked with little-to-no relief in sight. According to Chinese authorities, the culprit is construction along this main highway, along with a high volume of overloaded trucks. To make matters worse, most travellers are being overcharged by local vendors while small accidents are causing an even slower commute. Estimates believe it will take a commuter three days to navigate through the traffic jam.
